Tomorrow is the big day. It’s ““One for the Roses””:http://www.dailycal.org/sharticle.php?id=22329 as the Daily Cal put it today.
We’ve already looked at both squad’s “special teams”:http://clog.dailycal.org/sports/battle-for-the-roses-preview-special-teams, “how the Cal offense looks against ‘SC’s defense”:http://clog.dailycal.org/sports/battle-for-the-roses-preview-cals-offense-v-scs-defense and how “the Trojans look”:http://clog.dailycal.org/sports/battle-for-the-roses-preview-scs-offense-v-cals-defense after the Leinart-Bush-White era.
Today it’s time for intangibles.
We’re asking you, what’s better than having a team of golden grill-wearing football players? Just look at these guys. That grill work is awesome.

But what’s better than awesome grill work is an awesome history, and sadly, USuC has that.
The Trojans are undefeated under coach Pete Carroll. ‘SC hasn’t lost a game in the Coliseum since 2001. And probably the biggest intangible of all…the Bears haven’t won a game in Los Angeles since Tedford took over in 2002.
This includes this choke-job by Cal in 2004. Let’s watch…
It’s sad, but it’s true. In the Coliseum the Trojans are like Russell Crowe in “Gladiator,” and the Bears are like any other pawn thrown his way. If Cal was playing in Strawberry Canyon, maybe it’d be different story.
