We really don’t know what was creepier: the student section holding cutouts of Ayinde Ubaka and Alex Pribble’s face or the seven shirtless guys spelling Pribble’s name out on their chest.
Both were done to pay homage to the two Cal seniors in their final home game at Haas Pavilion. (The picture above is what the cutouts of Ubaka and Pribble’s face looked like).
But while Ben Braun’s Bears still lost to Arizona State, Cal was still able to give the seniors a proper send-off by representing the way the season has gone all year. Saturday’s loss was sort of a microcosm of sorts, with the Bears choking the game away to a shitty basketball team.
We guess it’s just built into the DNA of this basketball team, to choke games away.
Speaking of DNA, Dr. James Watson, the guy who discovered what DNA is, was at the basketball game today. He was so popular that all of Rally Comm went over to get their shirts signed by the Nobel Prize winner and when he was announced to the crowd, the Bench started to chant “DNA!”
Who would you rather get your shirt signed by, Watson or Ubaka?
We’ll give you our answer. We have to go with the Nobel Prize winner.
