We all know the truth. There is only one primary thing that other schools have over Berkeley: decent parking.

At least students aren’t the only ones who are conscious of it. City officials are considering installing a $2 million system of electronic signs that, in real time, update drivers on vacant parking areas.

The signs will have illuminated arrows that change directions, pointing drivers to other lots that are open. They will not tell the number of spots available though.

The City Council will review the proposed contract in early November. But even if they approve it immediately, it could take up to two years to install the system.

That means that we will all have to go through that anxiety disorder that the Underhill Parking Garage on Channing Avenue created in us: “When will it be finished? When will it be finished? When will it be finished?”

The Clog predicts that even if the project is approved and completed, it will not change revenue for co-ops and Greek houses on game days.
