Are you a painter of eggs, into carnivals of fun and learning, or eight years old? If so, heads up. The biggest, bestest, most wonderfulest free Easter egg hunt in all of Northern California is coming to a VLSB lawn near you.
The Eggster hunt and learning festival will take place this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the North side of the Valley Life Sciences Building. There’ll be booths, balloons, egg hunts, face-painting, games, a handful of performances and a partridge in a pear tree.
So you can’t exactly participate in the hunt–unless you’re up for mowing down some kiddies in your ruthless pursuit of the prize eggs. And you can’t volunteer anymore either, seeing how all the orientations have already passed. But you can be there to soak up the sunshine and take in performances by the Cal band and our various a capella groups! You can also donate monies, which makes you eligible for the festival’s raffle. We can’t say we don’t dig the prizes, either–for every $5 you donate, you’ll be one raffle ticket closer to winning that fabulously purple Hello Kitty manpurse you’ve always wanted.
All proceeds go to three local nonprofit children’s agencies. Hooray, we say.
