Maybe you’ve got an awesome summer ahead, but more likely than not, you’re going to summer school, working, or just plain studying. If you need some downtime and detest spending 10 bucks to see a movie in theaters, bring the movie home … for free.

The Berkeley Public Library, in addition to the other cool things it loans, also loans videos and DVDs for your enjoyment. The best thing about it? It’s all free with a BPL card–you just need proof of residence to sign up.

Rentals last for a week and can be renewed. You’d be surprised what movies a li’l ole city library could hold.

Our own library on campus isn’t quite as cool, but you can still watch movies for free at the Media Resources Center … provided that you watch ‘em there. You’d have to smuggle a bag of popcorn and ditch the date, but a free movie is still a movie, right? Hmm.
