Because big holidays can’t pass without someone in the Bay Area burning a flag (just look at what fat-man-on-bike did to Christmas)–we feel obliged to announce the “Anti-4th of July” festivities that take place tomorrow in both Berkeley and San Francisco. We found out about the former after peeping the multiple notices taped to the floor of Sproul Plaza, which advertise the anti-celebratory affair’s abundance of video, music, food and perhaps a little bit of flag-burning. God Bless America!
The picnic will happen from 12 to 4 p.m. at Rogers Park. Yes, it ends early–most likely so the disgruntled anti-American Americans can go admire the official fireworks shows/”bomb simulations.” Or maybe they’ll move on to other anti-patriotic parties, like the one in San Francisco that plans to accompany the waterfront explosions.
Whatever your plans are–the Clog hopes you at least have some BBQ, and maybe watch Hancock. Happy July 4!
