David Simon, creator and writer of the TV series “The Wire,” will speak on campus on Wednesday, Sept. 10. We’re telling you this ahead of time: This is huge.

Simon is currently a writer-in-residence at our J-School, having worked as a police reporter for the Baltimore sun in his early years. This week, though, he’s stepping out of that North Gate log cabin.

The talk starts at 5 p.m. on Wednesday at the Maude Fife Room (315 Wheeler), but we recommend you get there 30 minutes early.
