“But Clog!” you excrete, “is it prudent to fete such a specialized concept? After all, there are social taboos to consider!” Yes, yes, this we have heard! But before you mess your pants, consider these artsy events relating to chance and randomness in music or dance:
What: Merce Cunningham: Dance on Film. The second and last show in a series, it will include a short piece by Charles Atlas as well as a documentary focusing on Cunningham’s use of software for the choreography for dance piece “CRWDSPCR.”
When: Thursday, Nov. 13, 7:30 p.m.
Where: BAM/PFA
What: Panorama: Multi-Media Happening. Robot cameras, synchronized looping patterns and interactive tele-immersion stations. What’s not to love?
When: Friday, Nov. 14, 5:00 p.m.
Where: Pauley Ballroom
What: MCDC Performance. The last performance of the Merce Cunningham Dance Company for their duration at Berkeley. Likely to make you ask what music even is, man, like woah.
When: Saturday, Nov. 15, 8:00 p.m.
Where: Zellerbach Hall
