If you thought dodging a few flyerers on Upper Sproul was hard, try replacing flyerers with photographers and Sproul with EVERYWHERE. Suddenly pelting a cameraman with your purse doesn’t seem so far-fetched.
Celebrities have a history of strange paparazzi-avoidance and agression tactics, but this recent episode tops even Britney Spears’s infamous umbrella attack, and that’s saying something. Woody Harrelson recently mistook a TMZ photographer for a zombie, physically attacking him and breaking his camera. We all know the paparazzi aren’t really human, but is this guy serious?
Harrelson had this to say about the altercation: “I wrapped a movie called ‘Zombieland,’ in which I was constantly under assault by zombies, then flew to New York, still very much in character.”
Ah, OK, that makes more sense. Our first reaction if we saw a zombie would be to smash its camera and run after it too. But this isn’t Harrelson’s first paparazzi attack, apparently a lawsuit was filed against him last year by another TMZ photographer after he attempted to choke the guy.
Maybe Hollywood should watch out which roles they give Woody. We’d hate to see what would happen if he played a character with an anger problem or something.

So, I think it’s HYSTERICAL that Woody pulled the zombie excuse. Even more hysterical that it made headlines on cnn.com.
But the thing is, that paparazzo had it coming! I mean, after getting assaulted, with his camera clearly intact, why would he continue following and annoying the guy?
“Woody this is assault!” “Woody don’t touch me!”
Almost as in your face and annoying as…

That’s my 2 cents. Or, a nickel.
