Hi there hypochondriacs, we know it’s been hard for you to catch a break lately, but that may be about to change.

Apparently the CellScope, a cell-phone mounted microscope, might some day allow you to obtain diagnoses without even leaving the comfort of your living room.

The microscope, based on technology created by UC Berkeley researchers, will allow people to take cell phone pictures of blood samples and send them to doctors for analysis.

Although created in an effort to aid in treating disease in developing nations, this technology could also someday come to a cell phone near you.
