DSC02771The Clog left for home this past Thanksgiving weekend with thoughts of escape from general Berkeley chaos. We returned rested and full, and ventured to Sproul Plaza today to check up on the dear old Occupy movement.

Imagine our surprise when we saw almost no one out there.

Is the movement finally dying down?

A nearby sign proclaimed that the movement has just barely gotten started:

More to come?

More to come?

Indeed, another flag advertised the fact that today marked the 18th day of occupation.

Almost been three weeks now folks

Almost been three weeks now, folks.

But the plaza looked a lot less filled and festive than it had in recent weeks. Have Cal supporters lost enthusiasm? Is the finals mindset taking precedent, resulting in the loss of student interest?

Moreover, calls for donations have typically resulted in massive community support, but today, the tent supply donations drop-off zone was completely empty.

Mushrooms are used to make tents, apparently

What do you think?

Uh, they were at UCSF and Davis trying to participate in the Regents meeting. You should read the Daily Cal for updates, it’s a really good newspaper.
