A cappella (and adorable Brits) against AIDS

While walking through Sproul we were lucky enough to pass this gem.

We halted, taken aback by a group of adorable men wearing matching shirts that said “All the King’s Men.” we stayed for a little while, wondering if they were some sort of British themed group at Cal that we hadn’t heard of. We enjoyed their fresh arrangements and quirky moves, especially their medley of songs featuring California. During the medley’s segment of “California Girls” a handsome singer actually pulled up an audience member! Lucky.photo-2

Upon further research, we discovered that the group hails from King’s College in LONDON [1]. That’s right. A group of delightful British boys are blessing our campus. Why are they here?

They have come all the way across the pond to perform tonight at “A Capella Against Aids.” [2] The event is at 8 p.m. in 155 Dwinelle, $6 for students and $8 general. Proceeds go to the AIDS Project of the East Bay. We urge you to attend, if not for the noble cause, than for the rate opportunity to see All the King’s Men. How often do we get to be serenaded by cute English blokes with a sense of humor? Not often enough.

If you don’t get a chance to come tonight, and can’t afford a plane ticket, here’s a treat:
