As the Spring semester comes to a close, student performance groups all over campus are bustling to put on their best shows yet. What will tempt you away from that uber important final paper due on Monday? Let us count the possibilities!

Fashion and Student Trends puts on their end-of-semester runway show this Sunday at 3 p.m. in the Pauley Ballroom. If you thought the extent of Berkeley fashion was Cal sweatshirts, think again.

The ever-popular Theatre Rice premiered their show, “Click Click, Bang Bang,” tonight, with another show to take place tomorrow at 7 p.m. in 155 Dwinelle. Kathleen Mendoza of TR tells the Clog all about it:

“It’s really a compilation of different themes and styles like all our shows. We’re going to have experimental pieces such as a percussion troupe and duolouges. But there is still the long-lived and loved Improv and Comedy troupe. This is our showcase, so we open up our space and audiences to others outside of Theatre Rice. We’ll be having a musical guest Charlee. Basically, Click Click Bang Bang showcases all the talent within Theatre Rice and those of the outside community who wish to participate.”

Go and participate! You know you’ve always dreamed of acting improv.

Ever been to a party in People’s Park? If you’re free before Theatre Rice, Hip Hop in the Park 2008 will tear up that little space across the street from Crossroads from 12 to 5 p.m. With more than 800 confirmed guests on Facebook and 733 who might show up, the Clog expects it to be nothing less than dope. It is also completely free. Free dope–we couldn’t ask for anything more.
