During the heart-pounding thrill ride that was Super Tuesday, the Clog totally forgot about Mardi Gras. Those silly politicians straight-up stole sin’s spotlight. Thankfully, there are tons more gratuitous festivities in store for this month–though they probably won’t involve baring your chest in exchange for plastic beads.
Today marks the beginning of the Lunar New Year, and this year is the Year of the Rat! San Francisco is holding the biggest festivities, of course, but their annual parade–the largest one outside of Asia–will not be until February 23. Don’t worry, there’s still a Flower Market Fair going on all weekend, a San Francisco Symphony concert on Sunday and a Miss Chinatown U.S.A. pageant … next week. Check out a full schedule of events at the Chron.
