All You Need Is LoveFest

Naked people! Drugs! Sex! People in completely outrageous getups! Okay, so it’s San Francisco, and this isn’t anything new, but SF’s annual LoveFest, the largest single-day electronic dance music event in America offers more nakedness, more people on drugs and uh, more outrageous costumes than usual. It’s like the city of San Francisco on acid. Actually, it really is the city of San Francisco … on acid.

Over ten thousand people are expected to turn out to see the parade which will consist of 25 ridiculously hippie-fied, decked-out floats featuring local DJs and other such entertainment. The colorful chaos will begin at 2nd and Market streets at noon and will culminate in a huge Electric Daisy Carnival-esque electric dance festival, costume spectacle, love-filled extravaganza right in front of city hall. That’s right, not only is this thing somehow legal, but it all takes place under the approving eye of city hall itself. Only in San Francisco …

As their website boasts: “While Americans are struggling with an economic meltdown, ruthless hurricane season and political uncertainty of our future, San Francisco LoveFest will provide some much needed love.” Looks like all you do really need is love, and maybe $700 billion.

It just so happens that LoveFest is scheduled for this Saturday, the same day as the big Homecoming game, so choose your loyalties wisely kids, Oski is judging you.

This Semester’s Streakers Too Much for YouTube

Last night at 11 p.m., the traditional streakers of the Main Stacks infiltrated your precious studying space. Of course, the Clog was there to capture it all.

One small problem: We guess UC Berkeley streakers are so filthy that YouTube had to pull our videos down. The video above is last semester’s streakathon, but don’t you fear–we’re wily and won’t let The Man take us down.

Instead, we took advantage of our new Facebook profile and added the first video to our page. Check it out before Zuckerberg’s drones take it down. If it survives, expect to find the tail end of the streaking posted tomorrow.

We Have a Picture of Naked People, but You Won’t Like It

“Naked people” always shows up on the top 25 hot keywords for the Clog. But what about naked tree people?

Last week we mentioned photog Jack Gescheidt continuing his quest to destroy all things sexy and even ruin what little street cred the tree people ever had.

Sure, naked may be beautiful, but is this really the way to bring sexy back?

The correct answer is no. C’mon, you know you’re in trouble when even Zachary RunningWolf thinks this “protest” is half-baked.
