Perhaps the only building on campus that is in dire need of an easy-access coffee shop (other than Dwinelle Hall, which finally got its fix a few semesters ago) is the Valley Life Sciences building. Home to many sleepless molecular and cell biology majors, and others who’ve decided to throw their lives away to science–VLSB can be a gloomy place to study without an hourly dose of everyone’s favorite psychoactive stimulant.

Worry no more, however. Yali’s cafe on Oxford Street is opening a cute, little spin-off in the oft-isolated courtyard of VLSB. We sense a newfound hot spot/watering hole in the making.

Speaking of new things, campus libraries will welcome the new school year by offering white boards for use by library-frequenting study groups. In Moffitt Library, you can get them by the third floor elevators.

Caffeine is overrated. Only weak people need it to stay awake.

Yay now I got a place to get my fix. Now if you excuse me I’m going to take some 100% pure Arabica.

Yeah I’m doing astronomy. 8 days in a row up until at least 5 or 6 AM observing. No caffeine needed. Pure will power.
