The East Bay Media Center launches its 18th annual “Berkeley Video and Film Festival” tonight at Landmark Shattuck Cinemas. Nearly 40 short films, documentaries and music videos should lead to an enticing lineup, with titles ranging from “Obama Won” to “I Know Who Really Sent the Anthrax Letters” to “Haziah, the Goat Woman.”

Cal’s very own basketball legend Pete Newell, whose bronze likeness you may recognize from Haas Pavilion, will be represented in a 13 minute documentary preview entitled “Basketball Guru: The Pete Newell Story.”

The festival will begin at 7:30 tonight and will continue tomorrow at noon. General admission is $13, $10 for students and seniors. Get your ticket at 2230 Shattuck Ave.
