In the hectic and chaotic world known as UC Berkeley, stress is almost inevitable. With all the papers to write, meetings to attend and midterms to take, students rarely make time just for themselves. If you’ve ever just wanted to escape from all the madness (even for just an hour), we recommend taking a walk down to Shattuck and breathing your troubles away!

The yoga studio is free as it is donation-based and operates throughout the day [1]. With its soft candles, music and physics-defying gong, the studio exudes a sense of spirituality that the RSF gym lights will never accomplish. Oh and they read you inspiring quotes at the end to give you the warm fuzzies.

With the initial physical challenge (you will sweat up a storm) and the final state of tranquility, Yoga to the People offers the perfect remedy for stress. Not to mention the other 7.9 billion things yoga cures. Reduced risk of Alzheimer’s, anyone?
