Everyone and their mother’s nazi memorabilia will tell you that in addition to being a vegetarian, a momma’s boy and an occasional cocaine abuser, Adolph Hitler was a painter. Yeah. That’s right. Who’s goosesteppin’ now, Josef Mengele?

Perhaps lesser known is a body of work produced during the Third Reich by Adolph’s cat counterpart, HitlerCat. In celebration of this much overlooked assemblage of cat still life, BAM has agreed to showcase the collection in a special ONE DAY retrospective. Today, Thursday, April 1.

Something fishy seems to be afoot and only The Clog seems to know what’s up. Yup, your friendly neighborhood bloggers were the sole witnesses to what can only be described as a Cal Dining cat-astrophe.

At midnight on April 1, no fewer than one dozen sneaky felines made their way into Crossroads’ Late Night, secured a large supply of fish sticks, and slinked back out the door. Exact identities still remain something of a mystery to local authorities, but the gang o’ cats looked like a hodge-podge grouping of Tabbys, Calicos, and Siamese (if you please).

The feat would have gone almost completely unnoticed had it not been for two stragglers who got left behind in their failed attempt to smuggle out a vat of ketchup and other assorted condiments. What can we say, they were caught red handed pawed.

Cats from around the globe gathered today in Mr. Hansen’s backyard to discuss their essential and adorable catness.
