I like the way, you move that thing ... THONG THONGTHONG-THONG THONG!
Ladies, get ready to burn your bras all over again. It’s no secret that there are places in the world where frying pans have greater cultural capital than living, breathing human beings … who happen to have two X chromosomes. Women, and the bodies they are attached to, have been covered up, stripped down, objectified and violated, and now, people are ready to talk about it.

This Monday evening (March 15), prominent activist Sunsara Taylor will be speaking on the global oppression of women and why this can—and must—change, in a lecture entitled “From the Burkha to the Thong.” She’s ready for a revolution and wants you to be standing there with her (in whichever undergarments you so choose).

The event is scheduled to last from 4-6:30 pm at the Pacific Film Archive. Tickets cost between $10-20, but don’t get your skivvies in a twist over the price, because it’s free for students so long as you’ve got your I.D.
